BORA AKSU 2011 spring/summer

This is a very funcky collection. It's full of funcky shapes, complicated texture and cut-outs . It seems like couture, but a wearable couture. When you look at this collection, you can't move your eyes from it, and have to say it's really gorgerous. The deisgner Bora Aksu who gradeated from Central Saint Martins used lots of defferent shinning fabric in this collection. It makes this collection looks full of the future feeling. At the same time, we can see lots of lace, flower pattern, bows, and the ruffles are everywhere as well. For me, this collection looks like romantic modernism.
Love the cut-out pattern, the ruffles make the garment looks quite funky. The print on the stocking seems very lovely as well. The color is black and grey.

Love the ruffles on the shoulder, the main fabric of the top is poplin, the trousers are made by silk. Black and white, a bit grey as well.

The print of the waist

color trend: black

Black, the forever trend of the fashion stage. It can represent anything, cool, elegant, sexy, funcky, unisex, mystery....... In this season, there are lots of amazing designs all in black as well!
From the left to right: Chanel, Marchesa, Talbot, Dolce&Gabbana, Emanuel Ungaro
This is Collette Dinnigan's collection. It shows black can cute and playful as well. The designers trend to use the feminine fabric. I love the hight waist shorts and the see-though design.
Alexander McQueen's collection. The color of these garments is all black, however, it's made by different fabrics, it makes it looks simple but not boring. As I see, there are lace, chiffon, silk..... And, there are lots of different textures on it as well.  I love the cut-out design of the top, the shape of the dress is very lovely as well.
A very graceful mature collection from Yves Saint Laurent. No weired shape, no complex texture, no funky fabric, and it's black. However it's still stand out because of the amazing cutting. I love the draping of this collection as well, very low key but elegant.

MARCHESA SPRING/SUMMER 2011

2011 spring/summer, the designers of Marchesa were inspired by plenty of eastern art to design 28 super luxry beautiful dresses. I never noticed the Harem Pants with bows in the bottom could be so elegant before. Anyway, I think this is a magic show instead of fashion show, the designers turn the very casul wear such as Harem Pants, the white jumpsuit into the luxury couture very successfully. In this collection, the designers used lots of jewelry on it, you will find it on most of garments' neck and shoulder. And the chinese element shows up a lot in this collection as well. The chinese fine embroidery, and the cut-out pattern with is inspired by chinese paper cutting art. After all, this is really an amazing collection, I would say it's all women's dream!

The large belt which made by lots of luxury jewelry. The shape is very nice, it's very beautiful, love it a lot!

The black lace jumpsuit, love the draping of the bottom. Never think jumpsuit can can be so elegant before!

The cut-out pattern is inspired by chinese paper cutting.

Harem Pants is not casul any more. The fabric is silk jersey.

Chiffon and ruffles are two very important elements of this collection.

This is Moschino's collection. It shows the circle prints look so cute! And I love the little ruffles of the edge of the dress and jacket.
PPQ: The fabric and colour are a bit mature, but the hight waist skirt and the girly bra-shape top plus the small ruffles make it looks so sweet!

Marc Jacobs: pinky fabric, big bows, big ruffles on sholders, very sweet!
 Sweet girls on the street!

Some of them are in some"wired shape" just like heart shape, butterfly shape..... The colours are normally quite bright. After all, a pair of cute sun glasses can up grade the sweet feeling! ^^

Amazing prints!!

I don't know how to describe my feeling when I see Mary Katrantzou's 2011 spring/summer collection, "Oh my dear god!, it's fantastic!" Maybe that's only thing I can say. This is definitely one of my favourite shows of the London fashion week so far. For me, this collection is wearable and unwearable at the same time. Most of the designs are very simple, but creative at the same time, the designer just keep playing with the prints which was inspired by the interior design. However, everyone will say :" Wow!" when they see the lampshade skirt and some interior fabric. It's so crazy! (in a good way) And I am so in love with the little beads texture, and the candlestick like necklace as well. After all, I am so in love in this collection. Simple, creative, fresh, playful, in conclusion, it's amazing~!
The interior print which is amazing. The color of this collection trend to be very light and colourful.

The lambshape skirts are the most important element of the whole show. And, all of them are not the same. The rifht side image shows 4 different lambshapes.

The straight cutting of the dress is very special.
When the modle walking, the chiffon of both side floating on the air, it brings the garment the elegant feeling. It's a very beautiful design.

I love the candlestick like necklace!! This is the designer's signature design as well, it appear in every season!

Last season's candlestick like necklace. The color is gold and silver, and this season's necklace is only in silver, and more simple than before.

Comapre with Mary's last season's collection, both of them are base on prints. But the color of this season's collection is a lot lighter than the last one, and the prints are more representational. There are more different types of fabric of this season as well, the shape is more exaggerate than last one. At the same time, in personal, I think this collection is less wearable than the last one.

Alexandra McQueen:
There are also some very interesting print garments in Alexandra McQueen's collection as well. Even there are not many, but it still impress me.
The prints of this collection are lots of flowers. The color tone is quite "heavy", in personal, I prefer Mary Katrantzou's print. But I think the shape of McQueen is more creative.
 The flower prints.
The wide belt and the colour reminds me Japanese kimono. I love the bottom of the dress as well.

The designer used chiffon in the bottom as well, I love the stand out panel on the hip.
