Trend: Romantic ruffles

Ruffles are the forever topic of fashion weeks, every fashion weeks there must be lots of fashion designers use ruffles as the main element in their collections. But off coure, even using the similar elements, the different designers must have their own way to express the romance of ruffles. Let's see how the differents designers play with ruffles!

This is Marchesa's collection. It's such a beatuiful evening wear collection with with lots of ruffles, and most of the ruffles have big volume!

This is Nina Ricci's collection. Compare to the other two collections, this collection seems a bit younger. There is big volume of the ruffles as well, but the chiffon fabric seems harder than Marchesa's collection, it creates more shapes. The second garment is my favourite, the white top which is made by big volume of ruffles, it looks quite romantic and luxury at the same time~
This is Jason Wu's collection. Compare to the other two collections, it's simpler and more mature. The way Jason used ruffles is in lower tone as well. He only used a bit to high light the whole garment. But any way, I really like the way he put the ruffles around the waist of the skirt, not too much, not too little, just reach the perfect balance.

This is a collection from Yves Saint Laurant. The way the designer used ruffles seems more free and causal. The major fabric of the ruffles is taffeta.
